1. Executive summary
We propose to create and lead the Mundae Graduate School, the global, cross-cutting graduate school of Universidad Internacional Mundae, serving every country where the university operates.
The core idea is to move from producing graduates to developing excellent professionals. Mundae's current portfolio is broad at undergraduate level and almost non-existent at graduate level, and no degree covers what, today more than ever, sets an excellent professional apart: positive health, human skills, the “augmented” professional and self-leadership. The Graduate School fills that space with three components:
- Two student sources: current Mundae students who want to develop beyond their degree, and new students and external professionals from all fields and sectors who are truly committed to their personal and professional development.
- A tiered portfolio: short (4–8 weeks), medium (3–6 months) and long programs (own and official degrees), with specific learning pathways, development certifications and associated services.
- A Corporate Division: corporate universities and academies, open Executive programs, in-company training, consulting and B2B services. It is the stated focus for maximum profitability and starts with high-relationship partners (GE, Abbott).
1.1 Status of key assumptions
| Assumption | Status |
|---|---|
| Geographic scope | Global: every country where Mundae operates. |
| Unit budget | To be defined and approved by General Management. |
| Program prices | Hypotheses anchored in other providers' list prices. |
| Volumes (cohorts, clients) | Author's hypotheses, to be validated with pilots and pre-sales. |
| Initial corporate partners (GE, Abbott) | Existing relationship; no figures on employees or training budgets. |
| Official degrees (line A3) | Require approval from each country's education authorities; no timeline. |
| Costs and margins | No data; not estimated in this document. |
2. Context and diagnosis
2.1 Mundae today
Universidad Internacional Mundae offers accredited official degrees in Costa Rica, with access to equivalence or recognition processes in more than 70 countries, and a physical presence in Costa Rica, Mexico and Colombia, with Spain and Switzerland on the way (source: mundaeuniversidad.com). Its starting specialization is Health Sciences (Nursing, Psychology, Medicine).
The Mexico program list totals 51 programs: 20 TSU (higher technical) programs, 27 bachelor's degrees, 3 master's degrees (Strategic Cybersecurity Management, Artificial Intelligence and MBA) and 1 doctorate (Cybersecurity). Together with Health Sciences, it is the foundation on which the Graduate School's entire offering is built.
| Area | Programs |
|---|---|
| Health Sciences | Nursing, Psychology, Biomedicine, Medicine. |
| Technology and AI | Cybersecurity Engineering, AI Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, TSU in Cybersecurity. |
| Engineering and industry | Robotics, Mechatronics, Industrial Electronics, Semiconductors and Microelectronics, Telecommunications, Civil Engineering, Industrial Organization. |
| Business and management | Business Administration, Economics, Marketing and International Trade, Law, Criminology, MBA. |
| Education, sport and communication | Pedagogy, Education, Physical Activity and Sport Sciences, Journalism, Interpreting and Translation. |
| Design and creativity | Video Game Design, Multimedia Design and Digital Arts, 3D Animation. |
| Other | Architecture, Environmental Sciences, Physics, Food Technology, and technical and service TSU programs. |
| Existing graduate programs | Master's degrees in Strategic Cybersecurity Management, Artificial Intelligence and MBA; Doctorate in Cybersecurity. |
2.2 The graduate gap
Of the 51 programs on the Mexico list, only 4 (≈8%) are graduate programs, and all of them are in technology or management. There is no offering in positive health, people and HR, coaching, leadership or education sciences, nor any continuous development pathways for Mundae's own Health, Cybersecurity or AI students.
2.3 Opportunity and segments
| Segment | Need | Graduate School response |
|---|---|---|
| Current Mundae students (Nursing, Psychology, Biomedicine, Medicine, Cybersecurity, AI…) | To develop in areas that do not exist in their degrees, specialties or sub-specialties. | Positive health, human skills, the “augmented” professional and self-leadership. |
| New students and external professionals from all fields and sectors, committed to their personal and professional development | Professional excellence with certification. | Executive development certificates, graduate programs and official master's degree (lines A1–A3). |
| Companies. Key client: HR and People & Organization directors in Spain, LATAM and the US, and healthcare executives and professionals | To develop talent and transfer learning to the workplace. | Corporate Division (lines B1–B4). |
2.4 Global scope
The Graduate School is global: it serves every country where Mundae operates and any it joins in the future. Short and medium programs and the Corporate Division can be delivered online or in hybrid format and, in general, do not require the prior approval that official degrees do, although this should be checked country by country. Official degrees (line A3) need approval from each country's education authorities.
3. Value proposition
“We don't produce graduates. We develop excellent professionals.”
It rests on four pillars, which no degree in the current portfolio covers:
| Pillar | Content |
|---|---|
| 1. Positive health | Happiness, well-being, positive psychology and personal growth as a professional competence. |
| 2. Human skills and self-leadership | Human skills and self-leadership: what, today more than ever, sets the excellent professional apart. |
| 3. The “augmented” professional | AI applied to each profession, hybrid work models and complex problem-solving, specific to each field. |
| 4. Development certifications | An “excellent professionals” system that accredits real added value, with application and development certifications. |
The proposal is to compete on the combination of positive health, human skills, the “augmented” professional, self-leadership, certification and connection with companies, not on price against generic master's degrees, whose list prices are around €1,000–5,000 for online positive psychology master's programs.
4. Business lines
4.1 Line A · Programs
Two audiences: current Mundae students and external professionals.
| Line | Programs | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| A1 · Short programs (4–8 weeks) | Executive Certificate in Hybrid Leadership, AI and Human Edge. Chief Well-Being & Happiness Officer (CHWO). Micro-credential in resilience metrics. | Generally no prior regulatory approval. |
| A2 · Medium programs (3–6 months) | Graduate Program in Positive Organizational Psychology and HR transformation. Diploma in Mental Health and burnout prevention. | Generally no prior regulatory approval. |
| A3 · Long programs (own and official degrees) | Official Master's in Human Performance Optimization and Organizational Health. Bachelor's degree and applied Doctorate (PsyD). | Requires approval from each country's education authorities. |
| A4 · Certifications and services | Development certifications (“excellent professionals”) and an associated services portfolio. | Cross-cutting across all lines. |
4.2 Line B · Corporate Division
| Line | Content |
|---|---|
| B1 · Corporate Universities and Academies | Create corporate universities and join, as an academic partner, the ones companies already have. |
| B2 · Open Executive programs | Executive programs in key areas for companies, with LTMS systems and application and development certifications, plus the “excellent professionals” system. |
| B3 · In-company and consulting | In-company training, consulting and solutions tailored to each company's real needs (e.g. AI-HR). |
| B4 · B2B services | Human Performance & Well-Being Lab, Positive Psychology Certification Seal and a cycle-based tracking SaaS platform. |
4.3 Initial partners and key client
We start with partners with whom there is already a strong relationship, such as GE and Abbott. The key client is HR and People & Organization directors in Spain, LATAM and the US, and healthcare executives and professionals. The goal is maximum profitability across the entire portfolio of programs and services, and especially the Corporate Division.
4.4 Dependencies
- Official degrees (A3): approval by country; this determines the timeline.
- Faculty and academic partners for the new programs (positive health, leadership, applied AI): to be identified.
- Platform (virtual campus and tracking SaaS): needed for online delivery and for B4.
5. Organization chart and structure
We propose a structure staged in two phases: a core team for the first milestones and a second wave of hires according to the real traction of each line, so as not to oversize the unit before demand is validated.

| Product and Platform | Virtual campus, LTMS systems, cycle-based tracking SaaS platform and AI applied to the programs. |

5.2 Phase 2 · Scale-up (5 additional positions, according to traction)
| Position | Main responsibility |
|---|---|

Governance: hires, agreements and budget commitments require General Management's approval. The unit's budget, including team costs, is still to be defined and approved. The positions and their scope are a starting proposal.
